FEATURES OF THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF VESSELS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF ANIMALS

Annotation

Animal transport vessels are widely used in the world for the “live” export of cattle, camels, goats and sheep. Such sea vessels, as practice shows, in most cases appear either by conversion from container ships or bulk carriers, or are designed and built initially as specialized vessels. These vessels have a number of technical and design features that visually distinguish them from other types of transport vessels. This article examines the characteristics of animals as transported cargo, the design characteristics of vessels of such specialization, as well as the regulatory framework for the creation of such vessels. A description of the conceptual design of a promising domestic vessel of the type in question is given. Keywords: animal transportation vessel, animals, transportation.
